The USA based Kundalini Research Institute continues the 2nd Level-1 Teacher Training Programme at Chayo Studio in Malaysia to be carried out by Trainers appointed under the
coordination of Sunder Singh Khalsa, certified Teacher Trainer in Level 1 & 2 and with 33 years of experience in teaching Kundalini Yoga, who is the Coordinator of the Teacher Training programmes in Asia. The KRI Teacher Training Certification Program is open both to yoga students ready to become teachers and those who want to immerse themselves in the science of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan.

Theory and practice of Kundalini Yoga asanas (postures) and kriyas (yoga sets), as well as the basics of Kundalini Yoga meditation, mudras , mantras and pranayama . This includes study of the major chakras (energetic centers) in the context of a yoga practice, with practical considerations given to the effects of various asanas , meditations, and yoga practices on specific chakras.

The respiratory, nervous, immune, musculo-skeletal, circulatory, endocrine, and digestive systems functions and their reaction and relation to the practice and teaching of yoga. In addition to traditional Western anatomy, you will learn about Yogic anatomy and the energy systems of the body, including the chakras, the nadis, prana/apana and vayus, and Kundalini energy.

Teaching in small groups with fellow students under the supervision of a Yoga Teacher Trainer. The teaching groups will provide each student teacher with experience in teaching, and give valuable feedback on the personal teaching experience, as well as the opportunity to practice teaching skills with fellow students.

The complete training for KRI Level 1 (Instructor) consists of 200 hours of instruction, personal practice and yoga classes and workshops that will develop skills to instruct students in Kundalini Yoga kriyas and meditations as taught by Yogi Bhajan.
The International Association of Kundalini Yoga Teachers (IKYTA) - www.kundaliniyoga.com - is the professional organization of certified Kundalini Yoga Teachers. Members of IKYTA receive such benefits as education program opportunities, newsletters, product discounts, and listings in printed and web directories.
The Kundalini Research Institute (KRI) - www.kriteachings.org - administers the certification standards for Kundalini Yoga Teachers and is the review agency for materials, manuals, and other products developed to support the teachings of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan.
The KRI Teacher Training team reserves the right to grant KRI Certification based solely on their discretion and evaluation of each participant's readiness to be a Kundalini Yoga teacher. Evaluation is based on successfully meeting the KRI Teacher Training course requirements including, 220
hours of instruction,
personal practice and yoga
classes and workshops that
will develop skills to instruct students in
Kundalini Yoga kriyas and meditations as
taught by Yogi Bhajan. Student Teachers will practice
teaching in a practicum setting, participate
in early morning Sadhana (spiritual
practice), and experience the powerful
transformational energy of this ancient
technology. Homework includes reading
assignments, written assignments, a 40 day
personal sadhana and independent study.

The KRI Level-1 Teacher Certification is the worldwide standard for Kundalini Yoga Teachers as taught by Yogi Bhajan with thousands of teachers being trained in many countries in all continents. In many countries KRI certification is accepted for
professional Kundalini Yoga occupations. Certification is necessary to obtain
membership in the International Kundalini Yoga Teacher Association (IKYTA) as well as becoming a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) through the Yoga Alliance - www.yogaalliance.org - a non-profit organization that maintains educational standards and a registry of Registered Yoga Teachers (www.yogaalliance.org). |

Sunder Singh Khalsa was born in Taiwan to a Chinese family and moved to the US when he was a young man. From a young age, he was interested in spirituality. In 1971 he met and began studying under Yogi Bhajan, the Master of Kundalini Yoga and trained diligently under him. Sunder has been teaching for over 30 years, and every year he teaches at one of the largest yoga camps in the world in New Mexico.
Sunder is the KRI Director for Teacher Training in Asia, a certified Teacher Trainer by KRI (Kundalini Research Institute) and is also a successful
businessman based in Virginia , USA . He travels to Asia twice a year to teach intensives and oversee the Teacher's Training programs here. Over the past 5 years, he has taught regionally in Singapore , Thailand , Malaysia and Sri Lanka.

Mr. Tonie Nooyens As a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher, he is an active teacher and practitioner within the community, travelling regularly throughout Asia. He practices and teaches meditation and healing techniques since 2002 including Vipassana, Zen and Tibetan Buddhist meditation. Since 2007, he has been based in Cambodia, conducting a Yoga and Meditation training programme for Cambodians, and setting up stress and trauma relief activities, as well as communication and personal capacity training for vulnerable groups. |
Christine Plaud signed up for teacher's training in Thailand in 2002 after taking only 2 classes, and began teaching in 2003. She is an Ayurvedic
massage therapist and has been offering massage, detoxification programs, yoga and meditation classes since 2003. Her approach to teaching is joyful and spirited and she loves giving attention to the different elements of Kundalini Yoga such posture and breathing. She started Inner Keys, Pte Ltd in 2005.

Rajveer SIngh Khalsa began to study
the ancient science of Kundalini yoga,
meditation and self mastery from a
young age under the guidance of
Yogi Bhajan in the United States of
America. Since 1998, he has been
teaching in Singapore and has
dedicated his life to teaching this
sacred science to South-east Asians.
Dharamjot Kaur from Melbourne has
taught Kundalini Yoga and played the
Gong in Melbourne, Sydney and
Western Australia. Her intention is
for people to find their joy, live their
truth and shine bright like the sun.
She brings her own rich experience
as a counselor, marketing executive
and Kundalini Yoga teacher to each
of her classes. Dharamjot loves to
share the ancient wisdom of Kundalini
Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan to
empower people to be the best that
